Giving Back

At bababloom, we believe every baby deserves a beautiful beginning. That's why we've partnered with the Hatch Foundation to help moms in need across South Africa.

Our Mission

More than a registry

Welcoming a new baby is one of life's most joyful moments - but not every family has the resources to prepare. While our parents build their dream registries from trusted South African stores, we wanted to create a way for that joy to reach even further. That's why we've built giving back into the heart of Baba Bloom.

Our Partner

The Hatch Foundation

The Hatch Foundation is a Cape Town-based nonprofit dedicated to providing newborn essentials to moms from underserved communities. Each Hatch Bag - valued at R500 - is carefully packed with everything a newborn needs for their first days of life.

Newborn Essentials

Each Hatch Bag contains everything a newborn needs for their first days - clothes, nappies, toiletries, a blanket, a toy, and a book.

Dignity for Every Mom

No mother should have to bring her baby home without the basics. Hatch Bags ensure every mom can care for her newborn with confidence.

Community-Driven

When you add a charity donation option to your registry, your guests can contribute to a Hatch Bag alongside their gift to you.

How It Works

Giving is built right in

When parents create a registry on bababloom, they can add a charity donation option. This lets guests contribute towards a Hatch Bag alongside their gift - turning every celebration into an opportunity to help another family.

1

Parents opt in

When creating a registry, parents can tick the option to include a charity donation alongside their gift list.

2

Guests see the option

Visitors to the registry can choose to donate towards a Hatch Bag as well as purchasing a gift.

3

A mom is supported

Donations go directly to the Hatch Foundation, who pack and deliver bags to moms in need across South Africa.

Want to donate directly?

You don't need a registry to make a difference. Donate a Hatch Bag today and give a mom in need the essentials for her baby's first days.
