A registry built around the shops you already love
bababloom brings independent baby retailers together into one registry, so expecting parents can ask for exactly what they want without sending friends to five different websites.

One registry, many independent shops
Most baby registries tie you to a single big retailer. That is convenient for the retailer and limiting for everyone else — the small brands making the things you actually want are the ones you cannot add.
bababloom works the other way round. We partner with independent and locally loved baby retailers, bring their catalogues together, and let parents build one registry across all of them. You share a single link. Your guests see what has already been claimed, so nothing arrives twice.
When a guest chooses a gift, they are sent to that retailer's own website to buy it, exactly as they would have anyway. bababloom never takes the payment, never holds your gifts, and never sits between you and the shop. Delivery, returns, and customer service stay with the retailer who knows the product.
No hidden margin on your gifts
Building a registry is free. You pay a once-off fee of R199.00 only when you are ready to publish it and share the link — there is no subscription and no second charge.
Gift givers pay bababloom nothing at all, and never need an account. They pay the retailer the retailer's own price. We do not mark products up, and we do not take a cut of what your guests spend on top of what the shop charges.
Retailers pay nothing to list with us today — no upfront fee and no commission. The once-off registry fee is currently our only revenue, which is why it exists.
South Africa and United Kingdom
bababloom is run from South Africa, where it started, and now serves South Africa and the United Kingdom. Each market has its own partner retailers, its own currency, and its own price — a registry is built from shops that can actually deliver to the people using it. A registry link works from anywhere in the world, so family abroad can send a gift without any of this mattering to them.

The Hatch Foundation
Not every family can prepare for a new baby the way a registry assumes. We partner with the Hatch Foundation, a Cape Town-based nonprofit that packs and delivers Hatch Bags of newborn essentials — clothes, nappies, toiletries, a blanket, a toy and a book — to mothers in underserved communities. Parents can add a Hatch Bag when they publish their registry, and guests can contribute to one alongside their gift.
