How do I add products to my registry?

When you create your registry, you can browse products from our partner stores and add them with a single click. You can also set quantities, add notes about preferences (like sizes or colours), and mark items as high or low priority.

Currently, you can add products from our curated list of partner stores - all verified South African baby retailers. We're always adding new merchants. If there's a specific store you'd love to see, let us know!

How do I know when someone buys a gift?

When a purchase is completed, your registry automatically updates to show the item as 'purchased'. You'll also receive an email notification. This prevents duplicate gifts and helps you track who to thank.

Can I make my registry private?

Yes! You can choose to make your registry public (searchable on bababloom) or unlisted (only accessible via your unique link). You control who sees your registry.

What if an item goes out of stock?

Our system regularly syncs with merchant inventories. If something goes out of stock, it will be marked as unavailable on your registry. You can choose to keep it (in case it comes back) or remove it and add an alternative.

No! Gift givers can browse a registry and make purchases without creating any account. Simply click the registry link, find a gift, and buy it directly from the store.

How do I know what's already been purchased?

The registry clearly shows which items have been bought and which are still available. This updates in real-time after purchases are detected, so you won't accidentally buy something that's already been gifted.

Where does my payment go?

Your payment goes directly to the store where you're purchasing the item. bababloom never handles payments - you checkout on the store's own secure website using their payment system.

Can I buy something not on the registry?

Of course! The registry is meant as a guide. If you want to give something else, that's lovely. Just be aware it won't be tracked on bababloom, so you might want to let the parents know separately.

No changes required. Customers buy directly on your existing website using your normal checkout process. We simply track which orders were referred by bababloom through our Shopify app or WooCommerce plugin.
